It’s still in poor shape. I usually run it at night and can stick to the left lane.

I guess I will have something to look forward to when I celebrate my 158th birthday.

A lot of out-of-town casinos have free truck parking. I always went inside for a meal, and stayed to play a few of the nickel slots, just to keep them happy....

What they said. Before they added the truckstop part of this place I would stop here and stay in the hotel, especially during the heat of summer when my truck's a/c wouldn't keep it cool in the 110°+ heat. They use to give a decent CDL discount years ago, not sure if they still do.

Is staying at a hotel an option?

Many have large lots that will accomodate your rig.

Morton's and the TA will be full. TA is all pay now. Luckily there are a lot of places to park up there. There are several industrial parks near Cheyenne. Also, you can go up to the Petro on exit 54, which is just a few exits north of Cheyenne. If the Petro is full, there are a TON of spots in the area around the Petro. There are at least 5 Amazon warehouses within a 20 block radius just southwest of the Petro. Look at Google maps. The Railroad Pass truck stop by the dam is way too far for you. It is at least 30 miles away. There is also a Love's up on exit 64, which is US 93.

These aren't in North Las Vegas, but I saved both of them in Google Maps in case I ever get back to Vegas in the truck instead of on a plane.

The first one had several rigs parked on it when I rolled past, and it was paved IIRC.

The Petro out by the racetrack used to be my go to back when I ran OTR but it’s been since 2014 since I was there. Used to be clean and have plenty of parking
