    Nothing stupid happened.

I did find the oil a gallon low before I ever started the truck. I suspect this is due to the truck filling in the oil filter and oil lines after the rebuild, while it was being dyno'ed.

Freightliner had no issue topping off the oil. Other than that, everything seems healthy.

I have been following this saga since it started in October. My heavens. If there's any justice in the universe you'll go the next 100,000 miles without so much as a squeaky windshield wiper. God bless you Bob

I'm already 100 miles into my first load, shutting down after about 3 hours of on duty time, since I really need to be back on a regular driving schedule.

I had a load 30 minutes after I asked for one.

The engine pull does not feel any different to me. It seems a little bit quieter, though that might just be my imagination. Fuel economy seems to be about the same, but after only 100 miles it's really hard to say for sure.

I did test something though, and found that they removed the 1700 RPM limiter I had put into the computer. That might have been necessary for the dyno. I will have it put back in the next time I get a B service.

Why do you need a nanny limiter ? If you are the only one who drives it ......you take control of the parameters in your head.

And someday somewhere you might need those rpms....leave it set at 2100. Just because it’s available doesn’t mean you have to use it daily........

10-4. You have a tach and you have ears. You should be in tune with you truck and tell by sound when you get to your self imposed red line.

I very rarely need more than 1500 RPM except when climbing steep hills. I don't ever need more than 1700.

I am not the only one to drive the truck. Shop mechanics also drive the truck when I put the truck in for service, and I would rather not worry if some non-driver mechanic who can't drive a stick worth a #### decides to run my truck up to 10 MPH in first gear.

*shrug* Mostly, it's just something I like on the truck.
