I don't know much about em. And it might be different these days. The last local company I worked right before the economy collapsed in 08. Was complaining about the cost of replacing them on a frequent basis. Most drivers can't or won't use em properly.
As mentioned above. Sounded like they could be replaced without a new clutch replacement.
Taking the plunge. My journey as an O/O.

Update.
The clutch replacement did include the clutch brake friction pad as well.
The flywheel was sent out for resurfacing.
At this time, all of the work has been completed except the reassembly that cannot be done without the flywheel. Once that comes back on Monday, they will finish the job. I hope to be on the road on Tuesday morning.
We shall see!dwells40 and HopeOverMope Thank this. -
Thumbs up. Would also be a good time to do maybe a rear main seal and squeeze some rear motor mounts in, (( at discretion but a convenient time to do so ))tommymonza and Farmerbob1 Thank this.

The rear seal was quoted as part of the job. The front seal was done about 2 months ago because it was leaking a bit, so I didn't object to the rear being done.

Thought of you today @Farmerbob1 when this came passing through the truckstop... Dont see those trucks everyday.

Update.
Apparently a drain plug was lost or damaged, and a new one is not immediately available. By the time they get it in today, there will not be enough time to finalize the job, clean the engine, and finish the paperwork before the end of day.
They hope to have the truck ready tomorrow AM. Hopefully I will be on the road tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday AM.wore out, JonJon78, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Update.
Work is done. Invoicing is done. Heading over to pick up the truck now. Will be verifying that they filled the engine oil and ran the engine to fill the filters this time. Last two times I have had oil changes done, they have been a gallon short.wore out, Midwest Trucker, JonJon78 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Where you at?
-
Sitting in the Marietta yard. Found, washed out, and delivered an empty trailer to the shipper, and checked to see if my load was ready early. It was not. I will pick it up at @ 0900 tomorrow AM.
