Especially if I keep having **LOVELY** days like today.
1. Delivered to final.
2. Receiver told me that I was at the wrong place, though the BOL clearly stated I was to deliver to them.
3. Drove 5 miles through Saturday shopping traffic and delivered the load to right place.
4. Second stop receiver had no empties.
5. Waited 40 minutes to be told where to get an empty.
6. Go get empty. Reefer unit would not start.
7. Take reefer for service.
8. Reefer needs new alternator. Yard has no spare.
9. Dig around in the yard again and find another empty. It has frame cracks.
10. Dig around yet again and find a decent empty that won't make me DOT bait.
11. Go to next shipper. I was on time for the appointment window. Unfortunately the shipping team went home about four hours earlier than I got there, so someone screwed the pooch on scheduling.
12. This load delivers in Miami, FL on Monday at 0800. I am near Austell, GA, 660ish miles from final.
13. This load is still possible to deliver on time IF I can get loaded quickly tomorrow AM.
14. We shall see.Rideandrepair, stuckinthemud and Cat sdp Thank this. -

Sitting in line to get a washout and there are three bobtail pretty boy trucks in front of me, and no dedicated washout lane for people who need to get work done.
It's not salt season. None of them are mud caked. There is no excuse to waste time and money on watering trucks.
Yeah. That's my opinion on washing trucks, and I'm sticking to it.blacklabel and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Go to a trailer washout. Problem solved.
Nothing wrong with having a clean truck and taking pride in what you have.fordconvert, BoostedTeg, JonJon78 and 5 others Thank this. -
I wash my truck only on the day before or the day of putting it in the shop for mechanical work or a DOT inspection, in order to make it easier for new leaks or other issues to be found.
This is also often enough for road salt removal. The only other reason I would ever wash a truck is if I get it in a mud hole, since heavy mud can damage wires, air lines, and interfere with other equipment as well.Opus and Rideandrepair Thank this.
