Get enough weight back there and spring brakes alone wont keep them from rolling.

I have to admit, there's an awkward sense of devotion some of these fellows get when leasing on to a mega like Crete.

The "revelation" that FarmerBob had in that he gets "paid Friday every week for miles submitted the Monday immediately prior. Crete is essentially acting as a factoring service for me, so I don't have to chase billed dollars..." is just more of the same "benefits" he thinks receives as a lease operator hauling for $1.29 all miles ;-)

    No offense, FarmerBob...

That’s what I thought too. But no offense for sure. He’s doing him and I respect that. I think we all like him and that’s why we want only the best.

I rather chase 3.00 per mile than lay down waiting for 1.00 per mile .

The last stuck tandems I dealt with was a rather heavy load. 42k if I remember right. As part of my efforts to break free the tandems, I got the truck up to about 5 MPH, then popped just the trailer brakes. After about a second, the truck stopped in about 2 feet, with a bit of enthusiasm. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the brakes.

The problem was rust/dirt/salt/whatever keeping the tandems from sliding.

I am only offended when people get uncivil. So far, I think that has not yet happened here.

I am curious though, in the numbers you ran earlier, did you consider my taxes and payments for health benefits to be personal income?

I ask this because, as a company driver, I paid taxes and my share of health benefits AFTER my company driver earnings, so, to make an accurate comparison, those same costs should be considered income as a o/o as well.

Do you have health insurance through Crete now?

I just plugged in what you presented as expenses for a 2 mos average. Obviously, it's only an estimation.

Yes. They let o/o stay on the company health plan.
