Most drivers don't make 70K pulling a dry van. Perhaps, he was in a position to make much less, maybe staying out for 6 weeks is too much for him - sure it would be too much for me.
He does not compare to others but to what he previously had and as long as he's got more then it is an improvement.Tug Toy Thanks this. -
Look into publix, estes, old dominion, ups, mcclane, etc etc. None of them would insult you with an offer of 13 an hour.Taillights Thanks this.

Lemme guess, you're running 13k miles a month?

They're charging $572 for HUT(2290) when it costs $550 to file. It makes me wonder what else is getting skimmed. Sure, they can justify it as a finance charge, but either way it doesn't sound like a benefit to me.

I have a friend working a local job paid by the hour with overtime after 40 hours making more than these “owner/operators”. He doesn’t have to work 70 hours a week but he does because he wants to.

10-25 cents extra for pulling oversize loads. Someone was sitting on a beach drinking ####tails while they were writing this stuff up.
Midwest Trucker Thanks this.
