    Dear Faithful Reader,
I'm afraid there will be no more for a while. As much as I enjoy doing this, I have work piling up.
Imagine what 250 pages of a paperback novel looks like.
Well that's about how much editting and rewriting I have to do just to get up to this point. Hopefully that won't take the nine months it has taken thus far to produce what you see here.(To be fair, I was able to squeeze in two other short stories , as well) It is mostly grunt work, retyping into a different format etc. Doesn't require much imagination, but I have no one else to do it for me. Besides, I want to do it all myself anyway. That way, no matter what I hear from my agent, it's all on me.
When I get to where I left off, I may simultaneously post here as I write new material into my final draft.
Hard to believe this all started on 8-24-09, but it has been worthwhile for me and thanks to everybody here that offered encouragement, it has been very rewarding.
Once again, thank-you all so very much.
    Sincerely,
    Richard

Durn, where's the face with the tears running down when you really need one!!!
Hate to see you go sir since I have really been enjoying your stories. Finally found another one of yours about the "longest you've been out" and have been reading it.
Best wishes and good luck in your endeavors.

I should have presented that one better. I initially was making a post about a long trip and just kinda got started and couldn't stop. The actual name of that story is "DARLINGTON". The main character is a younger version of the guy in "SHARK KILLER", which is on here also.
I have thought about doing a few more of those and combine them in a collection of short stories.
Hopefully, I won't be gone too long and I can update you on Johnny Ray. I know I'm not supposed to give away the story, but I will tell you this much. Johnny makes it home from Viet-Nam alive and starts on a different journey.

i figured that cause the story starts with him waking up in jail outside of ATL(i think) after a fight looking for his mom. I will miss ur writing as you are doing the "grunt work", and i am sure that you will get published.

    best of luck man,
    G

The Darlington story has been my favorite so far. i really really enjoyed that one and its characters. I would love to see more of Ricky riding in that rig. Johnny Ray has been quite the read so far as well. I also enjoyed Shark Killer. Everything has been great so far.I just hope I get to see some more of Ricky. I really took to the Darlington story.
