Ok...I talked with Gracie at Prime today. From what I've read, she is one of the better recruiters that Prime has.
She said that once I go solo, starting pay would be .34 a mile with a possible .5 extra if I get in a Cascadia. Now I've gone to Primes website and looked everywhere for their starting pay and I cant find it.
Is there any truth to the starting pay being that high? Could it be a bad thing that they're offering starting pay like that, possibly to offset low miles? She told me that they get weekly updates on how many miles drivers are averaging weekly and she told me, my miles would be around 2500. She also said that as far as background checks go, they only go back 3 years, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they go back 7 years. I told her point blank, that I do not want any surprises and that I want everything checked out before I give my employer a notice.
Does this sound right? I thought I read somewhere that they will do a 3 year check and turn around go back 7 years once you get to training. She did sound honest and fairly blunt about anything I asked, but I'm having doubts about some things.

Posted on the thread. Its not a bonus for getting a Cascadia, its for getting a lightweight truck. They may go back 3 years for the prehire, but 7 for the check when you get here. There is a thread just for this topic. Just search for it.

Prime Pay and Raise schedule (company drivrers)
Gracie was my recruiter. She's a straight shooter, as long as you are straight with her. I'm curious, why does it matter if they go back 3 or 7 years? Just give them the straight dope, and there will be no surprises. -
As opposed to curved dope lol

Gracie is the best. She is my recruiter and she's been totally honest with me. I got my invite to orientation last week, and everything she had told me matches right up with what Prime out in writing in my letter. I know everyone says not to trust recruiters, but Gracie and Prime have certainly been honest with me as far as I can tell. I have nothing but good things to say about this place based on my limited experience with them thus far.

Graicie was my recruitor as well, no suprises so far. I had a guy in my orientation that had felony convictions, He made it through because he was honest about them and didnt try to hide anything, so moral of the story is dont hide crap and you should be fine.
