    Duy noted. Good video.
However, IMHO, & experience...we never I pick up a new trailer, on my walk around, I grab the WD40 & hit the rails & pins. That way you might dissolve dirt etc...and chances are; they're already slid back from loading/unloading/spotting.
    Done & done!

I’m having the opposite. I’ve pulled the button, slid my tandems all the way back as requested, got loaded and now need to slide my tandems forward to get to a decent balance and get down the road.
Pins retract but I can’t slide anything, no how. Usually, I release the tractor and then hit whatever direction I need to go in slow, with a pull down on the spike....nadda, and my trailer wheels are actually turning. I’ve tried it forward, backward, WD-40, fill it with air, drop it and race to get it in reverse, let it fill all the way and pull the spike, nothing.

Everything is filling as it should, trailer lifts off the tires when I fill it with air, everything dumps as it should, pins retract and then, wheels roll and nothing else slides.

    Any ideas?

If your wheels are rolling you should fix the brakes before you leave the facility. Last thing I’d be worried about is the weight at that point.

    Look at the pins closely.
Youll sometimes need to move forward before sliding backward or vise versa.
You should hear the click of the pins and springs releasing.
You want to slowly slide the tandems, dont slam them against the stop.
Locking them requires the same procedure.
I use chain lube rather than wd 40,doesnt run off so quickly.
Lubricate the sliding plate along with the pins.

Sometimes a couple big opposite figure 8's in the parking lot re-alignes the rails.

When you have too much weight on the tandem , the wheels will roll even though the brakes are adjusted correctly.

It got sorted. It took four wheel chocks, some brake tightening at the Boss Shop, and four 'give'ers!' before it finally slid.

all our trailers are disc brakes and covered so the tech suggested they might be getting thin...but yea, the trailer was loaded all the way to the back....heavy.

thanks for all the tips, folks. i learned a couple of things.

Be careful with the wheel chocks.
I used a curb once as a wheel chock...drive shaft was the weak link...:biggrin_25523::biggrin_25523::biggrin_25523:
