There is a common problem for both pins and brakes.
You might also notice with you pin problem. The brakes on the trailer aren’t set well. They’ll roll when you’re trying to slide tandems.
The solution is to make sure your pressure is up fully. 110 don’t cut it. Then you dump your air. Your pins will operate. Your brakes will set.
This is common with many mega carrier trailers.

Carry a can of wd40 and give the pins a little squirt before messing with them, used to pull a customers trailer that had the air release pins, they would never work right, I started giving them a squirt of wd40, waiting a few minutes and then releasing them

Most of the time you need to rock back and forth to release pressure off the pins as well.
