Yeah, I didn’t think about doing that. I’ll be in W. Memphis for training at Schneider on the 27th for 3 weeks and then I’ll be getting a truck.

I’ll do that on Tuesday to see if they go by the actual weight of the truck or if it’s by the plate weight.

My vote here sez.....to ask Schneider what dropyards they have (if any) within say, an hour's drive of your residence.
AND/OR....
Do they share a yard not far away....with another carrier?
With either option -- if something/anything bad happens to the tractor while you are at home & off duty -- Schneider really can't put any of the blame back on you....
