Not 100% sure, but I don't think that location is a Petro anymore.

Ive found myself frequenting the T/A and Petro system even more and more lately as the the "Flying-Pilots" are increasingly becoming more &more useless to me(they are our fuel system),Showers are the equivelent of a plant "mister" and for the most part are dirtier than in the past

Being a diabetic, the new Dennys in these "Flying-Pilots" do not have a very good selection of healthy options on there menu.

I find a lil bit of personal satisfaction to go grab the MGR on duty in these facilitys and point out the shower condition if it is unsatisfactory.

BTW Flying-Pilot in Brunswick Ga yesterday, the water pressure was atrouciously bad

Correct - Blue Beacon bought it, and they intend to operate it as a truckstop. Standby for the driver showers to be integrated with washin'
    your truck!

I hadn't been to that T/A in probably a dozen years...literally...so I was hesitant to stop there based upon my faint but unpleasant recollections, but I was pushing my 14 so I had no choice. I was not disappointed. :yes2557:

Glad to hear that--always liked the folks down there--but t/s really needed some TLC!

Let's hope they run a truck stop better than they wash trucks....:biggrin_25523:

Yeah, TLC..along with TNT, PCP, LSD, DDT, and the rest of the alphabet back then!

And you mentioned the folks there...really nice older lady helped me with the shower kiosk that I screwed up (it was working fine, I'm just a techno-dork, I admit!)...she was a real sweetie.

Almost forgot to add (no, wait...I DID forget to add...)...they were working in the old IdleAire building area. I don't know if they were putting up or taking down. But when I got to Newnan, GA a day later, that Pilot had IA up and running, and a lady repleat with yellow safety vest to redirect you if you parked in one of "their" spots. So maybe IA is making a comeback at the Slidell TA.

I really wish we fueled at TA instead of Pilot/Flying J. I've started purchasing my DEF at TA solely for the showers. Showered in Marianna Fl last week and was very impressed with the facilities. Lots of room, the head was tucked away in the corner, SHELVES in the shower, water pressure, two towels. Great expieriance.

TA has chosen to not participate in IA and is in the process of taking down all the equipment they had. Had quite a mess going in Wildewoodm fl last time I was there.

The TA I was trying to remember earlier is Albert Lea, MN.
