I started at 8.5 cpm right out of school. No regrets; we all have to start somewhere.
Any job is better than fast food or welfare and anyone that tells you differently is being less than truthful. I went from 8.5 cpm small paychecks to $65K per year by taking it one step at a time. Burger flippin' and welfare people never get above the first rung of the ladder.

Wow! You can make more in Mexico. 2nd chance? You will never outlive the felony on your record. They are getting 2.50 plus per mile getting rich off of you guys.

At least they are giving someone a chance. No company is perfect...and truth is most trucking companies don't pay no where near what the job is actually worth. Be grateful there are companies that are giving second chances. Gotta start some where!!

You're justifying this by comparing this company with those paying 4-5 times as much? It's very simple... they don't have to pay that low, but they feel they have to take advantage of people in the worst way.

I didn't justify anything!! All I said was with people with a shady background they can't get the high paying jobs right away. It takes time for those high paying companies to consider them...BUT..in the meantime they at least have An option to get some exp. I didn't say it was a retirement company.

If I started a third chance company, I wonder how much I could get away with paying the drivers.

Maybe you could work out a deal where they could pay you. If this is the case, what you are reading right now is coming from your future business partner. :D Also they gotta supply the truck. And trailer. And I don't wanna speak for you, but if they could buy the fuel also that'd be great.
