    So when they want to hook you up to heart monitor while you sleep in the name of "safety" youre okay with tgat? Talking the phone is absolutely no different than talking to someone in the seat next to you.

    "Gave up my right to be stupid"..... You made me laugh out loud.
    My wife says what's the matter with you?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I'm on the road and there's a car holding up a line of 4 cars ahead of me.
    Were on the interstate doing 70.
    I get into right lane and pass all, and its some idiot kid about 20 on the phone texting.
    Oblivious and entitled. Looked over at me like; What?
    That's how this accident above happened.
    Phones and driving don't mix.
    And no; you don't have to find and push buttons on the person next to you.
    Lepton1, Trucker61016 and Oldironfan Thank this.
    I disagree. A person beside you is a different scenario. We were also speaking of texting too. It's become so prevalent that these measures had to be taken. You don't have the right to kill me or anyone else because your nose is stuck in a phone. They really haven't taken a freedom. They are just like us now. They can use the device hands free. You can still hold that CB Mic in your hand (for now). Your freedom are mostly intact.
    I suppose you'll be fine when they decide to ban humans from driving because their computer is a "smarter" driver too. There is only so much you can do in the way of making laws to keep people safe. Texting and driving is illegal in nearly every state, how many people a day do you see doing it anyway?
    Trucker61016 and Oldironfan Thank this.
    I know this is going to stir up some comments..
    Virginia still has this law on the books, though it's not followed much anymore,
    Virginia – Women are prohibited from driving a car on Main Street unless her husband is walking in front of the car waving a red flag
    And in Louisiana – A woman’s husband is required by law to wave a flag in front of her car before she can drive it.
    In Memphis, New Orleans and in Alabama it is illegal for a woman to drive a car, unless there is a man waving a red flag walking in front of the vehicle to warn approaching motorists and pedestrians.
    I think they should disable texting on all phones when in motion. Yeah I know that will stop passengers from being able to text. But #### that crap needs to stop. I see so many tards with their phones on their laps texting away and then slamming on the brakes because everyone else has stopped.
    I think we can all agree something's gotta be done on this texting and driving thing.
    Not a fan of more laws, but, come on, Driving is NOT occasionally looking up from your phone.
    Followed a guy in my car that crossed centerline 4 times and almost hit people once.
    Ran off the side of the road several times also. I thought it was DUI, but he pulled over to text finally.
    Archaic and obsoleted laws like Judge points out above are still on the books everywhere,
    for any number of things. Some women are proficient at driving, and some are even pro truckers on here.
    Take Danica Patrick, not only is she pretty and smart, all her competitors say she's awesome talented.
    (Before you start; Tell me how many Indy 500 starts you have? Didn't think so.)
    (Queue the Banjos)
    In Canadensis, Pa. - an old law says if you get a divorce, you are still brother and sister. /Sarc.
    I'm betting Illinois or Tennessee. Those drivers are fools on the road. Insanity at its best.
