    That's pretty harsh. If you make a mistake, or even ride in the vehicle with the person who makes a mistake, you deserve to die and your family deserves to suffer. Do you hold yourself to the same standards?

    Colorado is the same way, but that's rural part of the state, so the law is a little more lenient

    I hope you're right. Teens tend to think it can never happen to them. I was the same way.

    Yikes that's tough to read about. Those 2 lane highways out that way need extra precautions because motorists travel 65 or better on those highways. There even some roads that have deceptive curves. US 287 is a high volume truck route, so pulling out in front of those truckers can be fatal, as shown here. My thoughts go out the families of all involved

    That's cold, man. You got kids? They all make mistakes. And I'm sure you didn't joyride around with lots of your friends when you were a teenager.

    Mistakes happen, especially to teenage drivers.
