I have a cdl, just no actual experience. PLUS the school I went to sucked so I barely know how to drive, keeping it real. Swift apparently doesn't have the patience to train me, but I feel like I just got a bad examiner and was tested to early which isn't fair since other drivers get trained after 4 weeks.

See, the problem we are having with the story is that Swift has the patience to train a monkey. Heck that seems to be all that they can manage to train.
The fact that Swift is passing you by, and that you and not taking responsibility for anything. It's all someone else's fault. Tells us that you really are not cut out for this job.

They literally lied to me, said I would be tested after four weeks of training, took me after 1 week. And again I admit I am not some seasoned driver but I have delivered them several loads with no issues.

The communication and Profesionalism was also disorganized the entire time there. Had to call them the day of my flight because they didn't email me the plane ticket

But you can always count on wankers on the internet to assume they know the whole situation from a short post. Get lost.

"Swift has the patience to train a monkey." Clearly they don't you bloody dip$#/+.

I would not lie to another company. If all is as you say, then a legit outfit will understand and offer to train you to drive.

Lying is never the answer. Just my opinion.

Thanks, though I wouldn't mind saying I left of my own accord, its not like there is any accident or citation I can be pinned for

If you don’t even have a license yet I can’t imagine it being on the record. Just omit the word Swift from your vocabulary and move on.

No you got it mixed up. I have a cdl. I was in the 4 week training with a mentor otr when they decided it would be a good idea to test me after 1 week of training. Instead of at the end of 4 weeks. They expect me to ace a road test with ONE week of experience?

My examiner was also very rude, which effected my preformance. It just seemed unfair.

So is this crap going to show up in background check? Do traniees count as fully hired? I wonder if I can just say I quit because I didn't like em?

Then what is the problem? Why couldn't you pass it? Not busting your balls, I am just curious. You passed a road test with a state trooper or DMV employee beside you. That had to be more unnerving than some peon with a clipboard from Swift.

To answer the other question, about whether to say or not that you went there, yes, you should. Swift may still report to DAC (not sure if they do or not) but if they do report it and you don't list it on your application and prospective employer sees it on the DAC they may not give you a look since you technically omitted things. If they don't report to DAC, and I KNEW this for a fact then me being me I wouldn't list it. Legally, you're supposed to list it. Most companies want to know where all you went even if you were only at a particular company for 10 minutes of orientation and went home on your own accord.

    1) Well I actually failed my first state exam in 5 minutes. You see I need anxiety medication to calm my nerves, which is how I got my license and aced everything in one day the second time. I don't have my medications because I am out of state and being tested on the spot.
    2) swift examiner happened to be rude, puts me on egde, and is flat out lying about some stuff with his wording which makes me sound worse.
    3) I never encountered a roundabout in school, which happened to be on the swift test route, so I hit the curb with the trailer. I think that is the main thing that effected the score. I mean yeah I ####ed up there but I understand what went wrong now so I dont understand why it would be a deal breaker

Again I admit my test was far from perfect but it seems they are reducing me to that score and terminating me on that when it is just bad luck but my drvier leader who is 100s of miles away has know way of knowing that, nor do they care.

No brag -- just the truth: Schneider tossed me the keys to an assigned tractor, after just 4 1/2 days out with a road trainer.

I gather at Schneider -- that's pretty much the norm (at that time, at least).

Then.....after that.....it's pretty much "sink or swim".

Next -- I started running loads in metro Atlanta.

After a few weeks of that -- I "graduated" up....to running loads up in the northeast.

Suggestion: if you were not happy with your experience at Swift -- DO NOT try to go over to Schneider (aka, ol' "Big Orange") -- the "pool" is even "deeper" over there....

Someone earlieir suggested trying Western Express.

    That's probably a good idea.

However -- if you lack driving experience in a regular 4-wheeled vehicle....then maybe you should spend some time driving box trucks, first.

Then go back to the class "A" big rigs later -- after you've had some experience with the smaller stuff.
