Tested positive for pot but don't smoke!!!!!

You have to watch what you eat in those states where pot is legal, there is always some fool that will stick it in food and now we have coffee infused with pot in Co. make sure you know all whats in those foods you consume.

 

What I don't understand is going back for a supervised retest. As stated earlier the origial sample shoulda been split to 2. Once a driver is notified of a positive result the only save they have is to pay out of pocket for 2nd half of sample to be tested at the lab of their choice. Hair blood nor a redo saves them. Never take your eyes off your sample until both containers have the tamper proof seals with your info on them. As drivers we all need to know certain aspects of this job by heart. The instant we see hard line rules not followed call all parties involved in it right then. Or just ride around with the it's not my job attitude it's my job why do I care.....but wait it is

 

A lot of techs at the piss lab try to get you to sign or initial the little stickers on the flat surface of the counter before you even go in to pee in the cup. Then they have you put the cup on the counter then go wash your hands. Meanwhile the chain of custody is broken because you took your eyes off the prize.

What I do is hold the cup until they are ready to pour it. I watch my pee going into the sample tubes. I watch them put the sticker/seals on the sample tubes THEN I put my initials on the stickers.

In the old days of Pee Testing, say mid 90s there is a certain level at which something might be present from food sources (Poppy Seeds in Bagel of a certain kind or even ethnic foods cooked just so from really specific cultures... Poland comes to mind.. which metabolizes to a controlled substance in the liver.)

You have to eat a mountain of the stuff which is essentially nuked by American processing factories to be useless for getting high.

Regarding the OP. If that person has ever been inside a Club, gathering, friends house or lives in a state with legal pot in the family in so on so forth etc that will get into the body soon enough. Drug tests have gotten really sensitive and precise.

ANY exposure is enough if stewed, breathed or touched long enough. (Fentanyal comes to mind...)

Screaming I dindunuffin does not really work against a positive drug test.

I take drug tests constantly for compliance with medicine in my system. I have to have a hot test in order to continue. (Go figure...) totally the opposite of trucking zero tolerance. And they educated me on results that are so so when I have half or less of the daily medicine that they expect to have seen built up in my system in real time.

Hair goes back almost a year. If you take that test. You better be #### sure you aint no where near a pot source that far back in time.

 

They just busted a bunch of scumbag dope heads selling gummy bear dope. Kids were getting it.

Many of these intake people are clinics do not have the right training to administer the test, let alone fill out the paper work right.

 

That's one thing that gets me worried about those night time, party bicycle rides I go on from time to time. Austin and Boulder have a fair amount of lighting up going down. Mixed up samples. Sounds like the second sample didn't test positive thus inconclusive results.

 

Observed test take place when the orignal test has been suspected of being faked. They are retaken the same day without leaving the testing facility. Unless you have tested hot seen an SAP etc. After return to duty they have observed testing sometimes. So I say again why is the split sample not being tested? Do overs don't count here
