@scottied67, what brand steer tires? We had wandering issues, turned out to be lousy Continental tires. We switched to Michelins, problem gone.

Because many of us have to have immediate communication capabilities on the fly. Leave it alone as a individual driver situation. Some people can handle a phone call properly, some can't.

If you got your wish, would you also apply that to every other distraction in the vehicle? Radio controls, including on/off/volume? Climate controls? Some sort of device to clamp your beverage into the cupholder? People have gotten into trouble with those distractions as well.

I heard in Europe vehicles don't even come with cupholders and burgerholders.

Good point. I get the passenger part, my wife is with me most of time in the truck. Ok maybe I should have said blocking texts, since I too use my phone while driving (blue tooth thru the stereo). It's just all the idiots with their faces buried in the phones.

I backpedaled if you read my reply to DriverDriver. I don;t want anyone to have anymore control over us drivers.

Michelins here. I believe it is related to the front air bag suspension. They act squishy and once it starts needing to be corrected goes into sort of a harmonic dance to get it back straight down the road. I mean there is no top dead center to the steering, it is constant highball movement. It is like trying to do pushup with your hands each on a basketball, no way to go up and down perfect.

I agree with blocking texting, in cases involving holding the device to read or send. I do voice texting only, no hands required other than tapping my headet to initiate the command prompt. Have you tried it?
