I have not, if in the future if I am alone driving which I doubt, because I love having wife along she's great company and I haven't had to eat fast food for along time. Is the voice texting the one on your phone or an app that you download? Because on my phone I still have to read the reply text. So I don't use it because of that.

It's part of my service. Some questions:
    Who's your carrier?
    What phone?
    What headset?
I can give you an idea how it works, it's a standard function on smart phones these days, and probably with all carriers as well.

It may depend on your carrier and/or phone, but there will be an initial setup required. Once that's done, then it should operate the same way as mine:
I'm assuming you answer calls by tapping a button on the side of your headset? That is a multipurpose button. You can tap it to place calls and read and respond to text messages.
For placing a call, tap the button. There will probably be a tone. Say, "Call John Smith". The phone should proceed to place the call. You may get an interactive voice asking for further instructions. You respond with simple statements, the program should recognize what you're asking for.
To read texts, tap the button, wait for the tone, then say something like "read message" or "read text". Again, the program may ask for instructions, just respond accordingly. To send a text, simply say "text John Smith "...

Yeah I tap on my headset and say text so and so and I then speak the text. I never tried saying read the text. Thanks I will give that a try.

Dash cam him, upload to YouTube, email his company the video link, might be offered $ to remove the video like I have. If you say anything to driver on cb and they respond 9/10 times they will say "mind own business, I don't care" etc. that's when I'll send an email or when they are just crazy on road.

That works on wimps. The new versions of iOS 11 will have a driving mode that detects driving and can help you out.

Just get a headset, press the button, say text name here, speak your message, say send and off it goes. Don't even have to touch the phone at all.

Windows did it....... the platform failed..... and i say this as an owner of a Windows phone (nokia 925). Texts: no alerts (they're not blocked, but you're not notified & you can set an auto-respond) until you disconnect from Bluetooth - but calls will ring thru your stereo provided it's BT capable.

I'd guess that the text impulsive / compulsive would pick it up and look at it for texts minus alerts while driving.... But I hold humanity to a very low standard, most generally. I'm also not popular enough to get more than 4 texts a day. Distant by design.

This week I saw a dude driving down I-5 southbound in WA state with his bare feet up in the dash and a tablet in his lap playing a movie. White Volvo. Now am I supposed to be afraid that he might give me a beating if I don't mind my own biz? I could open hand slap him into tears. So "snitches get stitches " does really intimidate anyone.

People won't care unless you give them a whoopin. Something that is missing from this day and age. The public wouldn't let someone get away from that clownage .

So you get that driver off the road and hog tie them, with thier pants around thier ankles, and the cell phone shoved somewhere.... Someone would have seen it on thier dash cam and people would turn in thier brother nowadays, no, you are screwed doing it old school.

You gotta let someone else handle it... Unless you know, really know, it's just between you and them.
