Perhaps you should get a job at the mall with the other teenage girls who lack the self control & repsonsibility to
    resist texting.

Aren't you just the world saver.
Are you gonna report the cop on his hand
    Held cell phone too.
What about all the 4 wheelers doing the exact same
That cut you off all day long. Who you gonna report
    Them too.

Your mad because your not allowed to touch your
Phone while driving. That's your problem.

    Snitches end up in ditches.
    I hope your tough.

Let's say you're on your daily snitch patrol to rid
The highways of those outlaw killer truckers on
Thier cellphones. Super perfect trucker that you
Are, you spot one, just ahead of you.
He's straddling the white line on the shoulder.
He must be playing with that dam phone.

You jump into full snitch mode,no trucker is gonna
Touch his cell phone on your highways.
With blood pumping and heart racing you step on
The accelerator and pull up alongside the criminal
Trucker, with notebook in one hand and pen in the other.

There he is,it's billy bob trucker, looking a picture
Of his 12 year olds birthday party that his wife sent.
Unable to control your excitement you start scribbling
    Down times,dates,truck numbers and locations.

When your finished your snitch report you stand on
The accelerator once again and complete the pass.
Grinning from ear to ear you can't wait to get billy bob
Fired from his job and take food off his table.

If I can't use my cell phone, than nobody else is gonna
Use theirs you mumble to yourself.
With adrenaline pumping you can't wait any longer
To make the snitch report to billy bobs company.

Ten more miles to the petro and his ### is mine you
    Mumble again.
Ten minutes later you hit the exit and park.
With all the excitement your covered in sweat, so
You run into the store for a quick drink and to calm
    Your nerves.

You know from past snitch experiences, when your trying
To save the world and get a trucker fired for doing
The exact same thing that every other person in
Every other vehicle on the highway is doing,
You have to be cool and calm about it.
    You can't show any excitement.

Smiling to yourself, you take a swig of that cold
Drink, then start heading back to your truck.

But you messed up this time. Your excitement
Caused you to lose focus. You lingered a little
To long next to billy bob.
He seen you writing down his truck number
    Thru the mirror.
He put 2 and 2 together.
Him on cell phone, you writing down his truck number.

You had no idea billy bob just got out from
Doing a 10 year stretch for armed robbery.
How could a snitch like you know that billy bob
Was the top enforcer for the Arian nation prison gang.

Released on parole just six months prior.
This was the only job billy bob could get,
    Nobody else would hire him.
Covered head to toe in prison tats didn't make life
    Any easier.
He knew if he screwed this up it was back to
Cracking skulls for a living. Then back to prison.

Finally earning a honest living he's back with his
Wife and daughter who's giving him one last chance
To do the rite thing. Proud that he was able to
Buy his daughter a birthday cake for the first time
In 10 years he couldn't help but look at the picture
    When his wife sent it.

But you caught him in the act. In a split second his
Joy turned to rage. He knew you were gonna snitch
Him out when he seen you writing down his truck number.
Billy bob knows how to deal with snitches.

He wasn't going back to the big house, no way.
He wasn't gonna lose his family again,no way.
    Snitches end up in ditches,
    Snitches end up in ditches,
Snitches end up in ditches, he mumbled to himself
Over and over As you completed the pass and slowly pulled away.
But you exited too soon, billy bob still had you
    In his sights.

Knowing your intentions, billy bob could not let
You make that call, he made a promise to himself
That if he ever went back to prison it would be for murder,
Since he was on his third strike anyway.

    Snitches end up in ditches,
    Snitches end up in ditches,
    Snitches end up in ditches,
Billy bob said to himself as he hit the turn signal
To exit off at the petro.

Pulling into the lot he puts the rig in third gear,
Nice and slow he thinks to himself.
He doesn't want to miss your truck.
He knows the truck color and company name.
He knows you're face. Billy bob never forgets the
    Face of a snitch.

It was the one part prison he missed most,
Disposing of snitches. Hearing them beg for their
Lives while he worked them over with the shank.

    Snitches end up in ditches,
    Snitches end up in ditches,
He whispered while creeping thru the lot.
    Finally he sees your truck.
Your curtains are open and he can see your not in it.

Thinking fast he noses into the open spot next to you.
Perfect billy bob thought to himself. Middle of the
Day ,parking lot mostly empty. Nobody would
    Suspect a thing.

By nosing in he left 5ft of his trailer sticking out
Past the front end of your truck. Blocking the
View from the truck stop and fuel pumps.
He only needed a few seconds in between the trucks
To take care of business. Another 5 seconds to drag
You to the back of the truck and toss you in the weeds.
He'd be back home with momma before they found you.

Time to take out the trash he said while sharpening
    His 10 inch buck knife.
He cuts your air line to make sure you don't get away.
The trap is set. When he gets out to see why his trailer
Brakes won't release I'll take care of business the old school way billy bob said.

Nothing to do now but wait he thought:
Climbing back into the drivers seat he looks out
    The driver side mirror. Waiting.

    Snitches end up in ditches,
    Snitches end up in ditches,
    He mumbled to himself.

This is why I say let's put cameras on all the drivers' heads kinda like a 'forehead blackbox'. The big companies that have driver facing cameras use the argument for them as 'coaching' the driver. What better way to coach a driver than to observe what this driver sees. Coach them that they are not looking at their mirrors enough stuff like that.

I saw a driver the other day doing his pretrip. He had a tablet that he had to carry around the truck and trailer and point it at various sensors so the tablet could verify he looked at these 56 points of inspection.

It would be very easy to put a red laser in the camera with sensors in the mirrors so that the forehead camera has to shine that laser at the mirrors every 12 seconds or a little low voltage taser sends a shock into the left or right side of the driver's head to coach him to look left or right mirror respectively. It would also keep the driver at max alert and awake, if the camera is out of level, again shock the driver awake.

Dude, I was rear ended by an O/O who was messing with his phone, I wish someone called on him when they could have, even calling the cops telling them he was drunk - which is a plausible reason to call.

I have to people who witnessed the accident say he was weaving and acting erratic miles before he hit me, but no one called and I wish they had - it has cost me more problems with my back and legs than I already had being knocked off the bed of a truck I was loading.

Not to mention it totaled out a new car I got a few weeks prior.

He was talking on the phone and texting while driving (and messing with other things in the cab), I can't get into the legal issues involved but it is going to cost his company's insurance a lot of money and the owner himself and his insurance.

One less driver doing it is a possible one less accident that could be prevented.
