The “weigh act” bill

Looks like the 2.9 mil figure was all states combined..

 

Had me curious so I looked it up.

 

What’s the 80,xxx federal inspections..are those the audits?

 

They're roadside inspections done by FMCSA at scales. We've had a few of them, paperwork will look a little different.

 

Wow, learned something new today.

 

I know one of the FMCSA guys in this region, he shows up at different scales 3 days a week.
He calls it "training" for the state people. LOL

 

When I worked for Poly, I was pulled into a MS scale for a Level 3. As the officer was finalizing his inspection report, a group of Feds pulled in, and he commented that his day just went in the toilet, he said they'll have this place so packed with inspections, we won't be able to do our job with overweight trucks and they'll have traffic backed up down the interstate because the Prepass get's switched to "All trucks in" so nobody gets a bypass.

And for those who say this is just political joke (referring to the undocumented drivers behind the wheel)

 

Seems like alot of this crap is just political yammering. I dont see any enforcement at all.. still is plenty of non english speakers everywhere

 

enough laws, just enforce the ones we have, it will take care of it.

 

They will just catch them when they wreck. Its easier that way.
