Well... not a great day. Could be a lot worse though so it is what it is I guess. Show up for the pickup in TN expecting 10k lbs... apparently Frito there manages to cram 30K LBS WORTH OF CHIPS INTO THIS TRAILER. HOW, I DO NOT KNOW. Must have been the extra cheesy Doritos or something. Needless to say that sucked running through mountains ALL NIGHT LONG.

2:30am, cruising along on I-40, got the Qualcomm screen off, GPS screen turned all the way down, stereo is off, window down, just enjoying the cruise. Then the Qualcomm lights up like a Christmas tree and the blue QUALCOMM comes up on the screen. WTF. Maybe they updated something and it was just rebooting. Oh well. Then it continues on, BLUE SCREEN, tries to start, repeats 3 times, then it just gives up and goes black. **** IT.

    STEALTH MODE ENGAGED.

    ...

STEALTH MODE my way through the night to the delivery. QC still dead. Get to another Frito in NC that rivals Richmond Frito in lot size. Try to turn around. Nope not gonna happen. Back up, pull forward again, realize there is just no way to turn around. Thank God I keep my 5th wheel all the way back. Had to jacknife the living **** out of that trailer pivoting it on the tandems (probably not to good for them with 30k lbs LOL) to get it into a hole so that I can then pull forward out of the lot and back into the drop area.

Then drove to the Greensboro drop yard and welp that was my day. Went back and fourth with SEM and since the solid red light is on the black box under the bunk it means the thing took a **** and I gotta go to Charlotte to get it replaced. Sucks cause I wasn't planning on going to Charlotte, that's what a good 2 hours from here. Might see about getting my PM done in Charlotte too if they have 15w-40 oil for my Cummins, not sure what they run in the DD15s. Gotta get my quarterly inspection done too so I could knock out several birds with one stone I guess.

Interesting day to say the least.

    EggoTrucker Thanks this.

Well me and my empty made our way down to Charlotte, got my Qualcomm black box replaced and got my quarterly inspection done. SNI shop won't pick up the filters or the oil (I run 15w-40 in the Cummins, they don't have it like CW warned). They would do it if I went and got them myself, but, not worth the effort. I'll just go to Cummins and have them take care of all the engine side of things, then swing by a SNI shop and have them do the inspection/grease/rest of the truck. Should still come out cheaper than going to the stealership.

Workflow, logs, etc., all messed up, so I decided not to go anywhere tonight. Gonna let that all get sorted out and leave tomorrow evening. Trying to convince myself not to bobtail over to cookout for a tray and one of those milkshakes.

Apparently someone took video of me driving after the Qualcomm went out last night.
