You can do better & make a lot more money with SVTN or Melton Truck Lines. Don't know if Superior-Carriers has a veterans program, but it's a good paycheck company also that hires new drivers.
Crete & Roehl are probably OK also.
Study the websites carefully before you make a final decision.

Also ex 88M. Used TA to get my CDL while I was still in. Got hired on by a local LTL carrier. My coworker actually lives in San Antonio after he got out. He went through RoadMaster to get his CDL and got on board with one of the oil companies out there hauling crude to the refineries. TONS of local work where you are. Use your mil experience towards getting a good paying local job.

Provided you dont mind fingerprinting freight, Don't rule out LTL companies either. Many will take you on as a driver/dockworker,where you'll learn the ropes and get eased into a permanent run. You'll also get paid hourly with OT after 40,with good bennies. Out of the 4 companies you mentioned, I'd personally pick Averitt.

I'm a vet here and I would consider Averitt and TMC. I'm going with TMC to learn how to flat bed. Goodlook with you choice and I think as long aas we work and keep and open mind we will be ok

I joined Prime INC two years ago and can tell you that if you are thinking about OTR trucking, we have one of the best training programs in the industry. I thought that my military experience would put me ahead of everyone else, but OTR and civilian driving is a whole different ball game. You will definitely have an advantage over everyone with maneuvering and driving. Trip planning, dealing with shippers/receivers, truck stops, civilian company procedures and stuff are all hazards to us vets. If you have time, check out my thread that explains our training program:

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.....

PS - We do have a midwest flatbed division (TX OK areas)

Just curious and no disrespect, what difference does it make if you're a vet or not? isn't Cdl training the same for everyone?
