I could go for that if this mall is far enough away to enjoy a cup of joe on the way back.![]()

Most of these critters are OK once someone that they know belongs there, but they ARE there for a reason, and it isn't as family pet.Gearjammin' Penguin, misterG, Naptown and 1 other person Thank this. -
The more you stop at the same places the better they get to know you, and the faster they are about getting you in and out. And a little Halloween candy doesn't hurt, randomly given of course. These people get to know you, and they can get to be friends as well.
One of my regular customers is a bear hunter, so when i see him i ask about it.
Its really, a good life. With a few crazies thrown in for good measure.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Unless you get the very rare family pet that is literally wagging its tail so fast the whole body is moving with it. Like one I had that barely let me get he door open, before it was in my lap trying to lick me.
Though, it was a residential (farm) that the owner said was OK to leave on the concrete apron in front of the barn.
I love OK to leave deliveries. -
Farm dogs no. The store mascot, absolutely! I loved interacting with them. On the flip side, I once had a Doberman circle my truck like a shark.
It was one of the deliveries that got returned that day. -
Nothing to do with trucking, but talking about business mascots, our veterinarian has a cat in his office/reception area. Guess the dam thing knows how I feel about cats, as it came up to me, and bit me on the hand, while I was signing some paper work....
Now it seems to me, that somebody who has all kinds of animals coming in, all the time, wouldn't have the german shepherd bait hanging around in the office... -
I had one today that was a special kind of stupid.
I picked up a few bills today from an HVAC distributor, who is a regular. One of them was going 50 miles to the south, in our interline carrier's area.
I told them they'd be better off putting that 70 lb box on their own truck and running it down there themselves. Had someone decided to do that as soon as the order came in, the buyer would have gotten it this afternoon.
Instead, I have to take it back to the yard, only to take it back over there tomorrow to the IC, so they can put it on one of their trucks to deliver it the next day.
So, now we have two days transit time and an extra 250 miles on something going 50 miles away from the shipper.
Can we say "more money than brains"?Gearjammin' Penguin, Big Don, misterG and 1 other person Thank this. -
Bob Dobalina Thanks this.

Just sounds like your typical HVAC/plumbing supply outfit.

Anyone ever have one of those days that felt like it dragged on for two?
misterG Thanks this.
