Or, are they a reflection of the billionaire mega haulers they drive for?

That's easy... the kind of people that really don't want to work, but want to travel around. People that want a climate controlled area to basically vacation in, but prefer not to sweat if possible. That's what I see anymore, and it's really sad. But there has been "slobs" out here for as long as I been driving, 31 yrs now.

Most drivers couldn't care less about upholding company image, it's about being comfortable.

...and MIGHTY comfortable they are until a nail or glass shard punctures those flip flops. The OGs seem to forget this isn't the same game like back in the day, companies get what they pay for.

I guess the logic is, they aren't paid or treated like professionals so where's the incentive to carry themselves like one? To some people this is still just a job, a way to put food on the table or pay off debt etc, nothing more.

I've been burned. Third degree. Scars.

I took this guy that was a preacher home from the burn ward at county up to Show Low when I drove a cab.

He blew his house up on himself. Story is dog turned on stove, gas lamps, BOOM.

Anyway, I could smell him for 4 hours during the ride.

He'd been in the hospital forever, so I says " How about a couple cheeseburgers?"

    Dude wept.

So I'm taking this guy to bum F nowhere right. I mean we're up in a national Forrest, dirt roads.
He says "Yea they have a party planned for me."

Sure enough. Get to this clearing, there's the whole F town come out. Fire engines, police, you name it.

He was a crispy critter though. Little burnt pieces of him still in the back seat I swept out.
