Ok, thats the way it should be done. When I trained it was done as a team operation.

It was one of the reasons that I chose Millis Transport over other companies. TMC also does solo dispatch while the trainee is still in training.

He won't be if he was my trainee. I can't train and he can't learn if we run team. He is a trainee, not a co-driver. JMHO

I agree with the chin strap deal which was already mentioned. You really dont want to be snoring while on the trainers truck, cause thats exactly what I did and it almost came to blows between me and the trainer. I ended up storming off of his truck in springfield, mo and almost quit over it. I never did get back on that dudes truck.

That was the loudest. When you put it that way, it seems loud.

Actually no sir. When I am training someone or my wife in particular I do not sleep.

What I do do is a form of mind short circut while resting and inventorying what the tractor trailer is doing. Power situation, braking, running onto shoulder, wind situations, cursing on the radio because we were in the way, bad shifting etc.

Those are the nights Im up front with the trainee supervising. No rest or sleep for the trainer.

If you stayed with the trainer long enough to show good improvement and become sort of what is expected of you, then maybe one night you will discover that your trainer has indeed gone to bed. You would be on your own.

Are you sleeping on your back? Any chance you can sleep laying on your side?

    FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

I did that last night. Slept on my side. Roommate said it was much better. He must have been asleep during the part that says “epic” on the report.

I only suggested that because I snore on my back. But laying on my side with my face angled down towards the sheets, I am quiet as a mouse. Something about that sleeping position allows for easier air flow.
