This is something on which we both can agree. Every person that I asked told me how much better and safer the training is because of the way the training is done. When I asked that question of other recruiters, I only came across one other that had something like it.

When you read back over the thread, and see the post that I responded to, I think you will agree that poster has a misassumption that Millis was like every other company, and used that team style dispatch during training.

The pay during the on the road portion of training is another great thing about Millis. Millis also is different in the requirement of cash up front. I think this gets them a different sort of students, too. Small classes, and we are all invested in completing the program.

I am working to minimize my snoring by side sleeping and tracking using apps. My goal is not to inconvenience a trainer. I understand that it is his/her truck and I do not want to keep someone awake and make them irritated. Every time we are introduced to a driver or a trainer, I have questions. I am trying to absorb everything that I can because I want to be as successful as possible.

There is a excellent chance that someone from my class, the five of us, will be the first MTI Cartersville student to leave with a CDL. We are going to be offered that opportunity. Hopefully, I am ready.

Southern Dad try some Breath right strips. They help me. Buy the name brand, not generic or they won't stick as well and therefore not work as well.

Great idea. I think I may run to Walmart and pick those up and give them a try tonight with the tracking app. That was something that I did not even think of, but I remember seeing the ads.

Make sure you wash your face and fully dry it before putting one on. Skin oil will prevent it from sticking.

First night, using the Breathe Right strip, results are kind of mixed. My roommate says that it was better. But my apps show some higher snoring levels near the end of the night. I'm going to stick with the strips and side sleeping for now.

I am hopeful that I can reduce snoring to where this is not an issue. When I'm home, my wife might appreciate that, as well.

I get it. I’m a horrible person. I used the information that the staff are telling us. They have spent the last few days telling us about all the changes happening here in Cartersville.

The fact remains that the poster who said not to worry about snoring because the trainer would be asleep when I was driving, wasn’t aware of how Millis does it. Which according to the staff here is one of the reasons Millis is the best place to get our training.

Keen98 and the other trainers with this company don’t do it like CR England.

I wondered how you were able to get to sleep at all in a rocking and rolling 18 wheeler.

There have been times Ive taken small straps and hog tied my body to the crash net so it will stay in one place on some of our really bad roads...

I apologize to Keen98. No buts, no equivocations. My replies did not give the respect that he has earned.

Ear plugs block out more of the high frequency sounds and not so much of liw frequency, like snoring. I'd suggest ear buds and some sort of white noise or nature sound. I slept days in a crowded subdivision for almost 20 years. Some sounds, snoring & lawnmowers, are treated better by masking with other sounds. Ear plugs block bird noise and shotguns work for loud music, I mean brownies for loud music.
