Lease drivers still have % option. Lease is still 1 year with a $4000 bonus. Night and weekend dispatch is a skeleton crew like every trucking company I have ever heard of. Night and weekend breakdown is routed to TA/Petro road service (make of that what you will, I personally do not love it).
Most drivers I know are happy at ATS. There are some that aren't, but then again they may not be happy anywhere.
Personally I feel they are a great company with some drawbacks. Overall the good outweighs the bad and I am happy. I have been exploring other options lately I will admit. Not because of any reasons the OP mentioned. I'm just thinking about staying closer to home.

Well today I got my first load with ATS!!! I did orientation in St. Cloud and everyone was super nice and helpful. Anything i had concerns about or needed help with or changing from the norm they were ready to meet the challenge. They went above and beyond for me. I know every company has its good and bad. But today was a point to the good. I am officially a flatbedder. Okay maybe not yet. But Did good in class. Lol..

redeye are you a lease driver?
If so do you do vans or flats?

Been looking into ats but can't find much info on van lease drivers. I'm just curious about how they do compared to flats. And how's the freight for guys based in the Midwest.

So many Carl Marx quotes yet most of them have been proven wrong. From 1917 to 1990 the world was divided into two groups, they were communist and capitalist societies. The result was plain to see. The living standards of workers from capitalist nations rose up and moved forward while communist workers stagnated and even starved. There were no exceptions.
The irony is that everyone who quotes Marx doesn't know that he immigrated to England, the most capitalist society at the time, and lived in wealth and privilege while he preached the virtues of central planning.

May I add that if you need an example of what central planning can do, you need not look further than that wonderful DEF engine sitting I front of you. How many times have you been in the shop because of that thing? All courtesy of the central planners in the socialist state of kalifonia.

I'm in flatbed side. I'm in a lease truck. I honestly don't know the difference between van and flat rates. I do pretty good, all of the van drivers I have spoken with do very well. If you come here, you will definitely love your job. I was very optimistic about if I would like it, I feel in love with it!! ATS I sthe best career decision I have ever made.
