I don’t see what the advantage is of leasing a truck from a company that has trucks. Seems like you’re getting about the same money but you’re paying for everything associated with the truck. Seems like the company is getting the best end of the deal. Just my opinion…

What? No big dollars in your eyes & pot of gold at end of the rainbow for no $ down?

    Wassa matter wit you?

100% of all risk, tax liability, zero benefits, mech breakdown & downtime (remember that no $ down, now), much more......

This does not appeal to you?

It appears grasshopper has researched & learned well. The snare has lost one. :biggrin_25525:

You bettcha!! I’ve done a lot of research being as green to trucking as I am. It just seems like all the cost and headache for the same money. Nawwww, I’ll pass. I’ll drive em and they can fund em and feed em! :D My Grandpa taught me well. Those shiny, glittery pots of gold are usually the south bound holes you see on the north bound side of the old horses, just about eye level to the average height of a guy!

Who pays for their worthless existence? We do. We pay monetarily and/or via societal means. If we lived in a true free nation communities would decide these matters. Instead, we have places thousands of miles away dictating how other places live.

If you or your community decide to carry bottom feeders than that should be left to your community to decide. However, the way it is now we have your community dictating your beliefs on to other communities who don't share the same values.

Societies should be able to decide within themselves instead of people that aren't a part of said society pushing their beliefs on them.

You want to live with an albatross around your neck? More power to you but pushing that on others is wrong and that mentality has been slowly eroding a once strong society that did not encourage weakness and lamness.

This has inevitably morphed into politics due to government intervention being the essential topic so it's extremely difficult not to continue down that path without further explanation. I don't want to take it that far so I'm going to leave it here to avoid breaking any forum rules.

Precisely my point. We ALL pay. So how does legalization of narcotics help that? It will only serve to make it worse. But to bring it full circle. LP cost us all too. Lower wages, increased loss runs which create higher across the board insurance rates, a less experienced driver pool and dare I say more safety and enforcement regulation.

So tell me again who wants an albatross? All in the name of people getting their just dessert. Seems like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

We see it here in the Bad Company forum all the time. When someone is asked "what does the contract you signed say?", you rarely get an answer and many times never hear from them again. I have read where some of these fleece companies hang up on people if they ask to be sent a copy of the contract they are to sign. It would be interesting to see a sample of one.

How does keeping narcotics illegal help that? Ok, so we save them from themselves on a LP. Then what do we save them from next? It'll just be another issue. They will continue making poor choices endlessly because they will always be bailed out. They'll never become smarter. Maybe we should just start removing low IQ people from the gene pool entirely. Pay once, cry once.

Bail someone out and they learn nothing. Let them deal with their consequences and they learn how to never get themselves in that situation again. I’ve learned my lesson on a lot in life, nobody bailed me out. Hard lessons are lessons learned well.
