We are an OTR outfit. There are no regions. I'm SW regional. In NCI speak the Southwest runs from Boston to Miami to SF. I have no idea why they insist on pretending like that's a reality. Do not sign on expecting to run 12 states. It's also worth noting that we are forced dispatch. You don't turn down a load because it goes to the Bronx or picks up in LA at 1500.
The "meat and potatoes" of National Carriers.

I appreciate the info.I was just going off of what the recruiter told me.She said I would run 12 states southwest from Ohio, staying south of I80.But it would take 2-3 months of otr to get it setup for regional.
I got to get cdl first. -

Hi all. I just wanted to give an update on me. I quit National back in March '16. It was absolutely nothing that they did. I had a friend that bought a couple of trucks to run FedEx with, and I went to help him for a couple of months. After that, it was back to hauling frac sand and being home every night.
National was never meant to be a long-term deal with me. Only as a means to get me by while the oilfield was bust. It was a great company, however. And the fact that they just upped their starting pay to $.42/mi shows that. I have no plans on going otr, but if I do go back, National will be at the top of my list.Jmans Thanks this. -
