Lol. Truck driver vs Colombo? Idk. I think you did the right thing. People who steal need to be reported. There is no way I believe those people thought that was their mattress. Then when the old guy goes inside and takes a little long he was schooling his daughter. Busted. Anyways, I’m glad they were not crazy ### people and hold you hostage and try eating your brains for lunch for figuring out their little thievery.

Too many people with no scruples, no morals, and too much entitlement. And too many lawyers.

Not going to argue that as I agree. Just that it's not illegal.

And, IMO, for good reason it's not illegal. In this case of the mattress it's obviously a mistake and it should be returned, but the ruling came out because retailers were sending packages to people and demanding payment or the person return the items at the person's expense. It just happened it was cheaper to pay for the item than pay for shipping.

Of course if they did order a trundle bed they may of ordered a mattress too and it got mis-delivered so they actually got what they ordered, i.e. a mattress and fame. Just someone else's mattress. It sounds like this Fed Ex contractor isn't the best at keeping track of deliveries. Of course that's 100% speculation and if a random person showed up at my address demanding something I got, I'd one be pissed at FedEx for giving my address out, and two start looking into if they may be right and something wrong did happen.

Point is, there are two sides of the story and all we know is that FedEx contractor is incompetent.

    Coffey Thanks this.

Well - all I can say is the local PD actively pursued it as Felony theft.

I know they’re not lawyers, but could easily see the grounds for investigation.
