Stuff like that is not only ridiculous and annoying, but it's unsafe and pretty stupid actually
That's why I hate all that electronic BS. -
When you are training make a conscious effort to observe your truck behavior when taking glances at your passenger mirror. It’s really easy to drift right when doing so.
brettw77777 Thanks this. -
If this fear is a debilitating, anxiety attack type fear that immobilized you, then you also should stay away from trucking.
If you are simply very worried about what you might do if you make a mistake, then you are EXACTLY what we want and need on the road.brettw77777, x1Heavy, 25(2)+2 and 2 others Thank this. -

DC is probably where I would do something if I was going to do it. Ive taken out cars there before. (Plural) in my lifetime. I spent a greater amount of years bypassing the entire city. I don't mind visiting but their traffic is a sort of prodding cattle rod that provokes me to aggression even. I don't know enough about how Shrinks think that works. But it works.
One of two things will happen.
Signal on, by the 4th flash if there is any space at all near tandem, trailers or steer she's coming. at a rate slow enough for you dullard driver to correct and prevent any problems. But she's a coming. A force of nature. I'll know what kind you are in about 3 seconds with two preplanned moves.
The first is relatively simple.
If you don't move, a great big heavy jerk horsing the weight onto my drives and making a horrible lean when the airride is dumped at that time and then reinflated causes your eyes to fill with front corner of wheels and trailer and drain your mind OMFG he's gonna crush me. You move. Usually. If you don't ok fine moving into circus ring number two. The drunken lout act II.
Start weaving AFTER the big plastic wine bottle with a broken cork puller in it or a shiny large 40 beer container or rum etc flies out the window. Best case scenario it bounces next and gone, just enough for you to fill your eyes with it. If I am really lucky a few splashes on your glass with hand sanitizer on it. Your mind does not think it's for hands, it's that awful drinking stuff OMFG he's DFRUNK...
Then he sees you are unsable weaving. With each one getting a little more lurchy closer to you. As if your shiny car is such a irresistable attraction of that shiney.. oh my. (Babe in car is a bonus) Your mind automatically fills with ICK GTFO or solve it yourself with big right foot. As soon as Mr Zoom clears out I replace his vacated spot instantly with my own rig. Most people have never seen a 18 wheeler stunt change lanes very fast. They just did.
You would think with all of that the company would be having a range of Apoplexy symptoms across the affected people who are assigned to evaluate the movements recorded and captures to be send by the truck complaining of abusing braking, bad steering jerking and apparent sleepy driving metrics if any are present etc. But that is not a problem I will need to worry about until everyone has had a little rest to consider what they would like to do to me when the time comes.
One way or another I will get that lane.brettw77777 and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -
I have removed some posts from this thread due to insults back & forth. Just FYI, I will be watching this thread.

Non Perm marker for the Atlas page of Arkansas, drew a big triangle around Arkansas.
Then he points to where I am near Vilona (At that time had at truck inspection spot both side of bridge before downtown. He wrote HW5 107, 65, 412 US 64, 89 and so on pretty much filled me in. I had been struggling on just two tiny roads no one really cared for then.
Cost me a thermos of coffee and a small inspection. I THINK that bridge has finally been removed due to the new bypass. All of the other roads listed had also gotten bigger, faster and rated for 65 and actually 70 in spots. You could make a little time If you careful about a few certain spots.
We are pretty much now into Tornado season, the beginning. It's already hot for late winter. Not yet time for that. But here we are. I expect a hell of a ride batten down the hatches.
And weather?
Go stand outside a minute and be still. Wait a while for the scanning your body has to do on all of it's sensory systems inside you. You will know your local weather far far better than some drool hack babbling about scary stuff on a television screen he should stop pointing to while the lobby windows shows the actual threat coming across the stupid lot.25(2)+2 and Farmerbob1 Thank this.
