See? There he goes again. Why is it so important to include the fact the First Officer was a woman? Does it have any bearing whatsoever on the point he's trying to make?
And this is my last comment on the subject, so don't try to get me into a pissing match.

and if it wasnt a fact, then why does the NTSB include the same information? Guess they should say "the pilot" rather than "she" or "her". seriously, you need your own talk show. And if you dont want to play ball, dont get on the field. -
..... Just ask any Afgan....

All of this talk about trucks and airplanes operating in the bay area with eobr's while crashing into glass houses running illegal being tended by women who were among those not being well compensated as a result of corporate politics and business models is making my head spin!
Things will surely change for the better as less drivers are hired. Have patience, young grasshoppers. Have patience.Gearjammin' Penguin and Injun Thank this. -

Doesn't matter where u go it's going to be the same crap everywhere. You just have to use the system to the best of your advantage. That goes for any industry!!!! Whining like a baby isn't going to get u anywhere in this business much less life itself!!

Just found out from my friend that works at Knight that as of sept-1the new hire pay rate has gone from .31 per mile to .33 per mile. This is still .01 below what it was at their last pay cut for new hires.
They will now pay new hires .33 for runs over 500mls-.35 -.39 and .42 for shorter runs. Under 50 miles is hourly +.42 per mile.
My friend who has worked their going on 3 years in Dec says she averages about .02 over her base rate of .36 because of the graduated pay scale. So a new driver who is not fancy about what loads they accept like her should average around .35 for all miles.
Pay increases will now be annually from date of hire. No more silver, gold ,and platinum reviews.
The safety savings bond will no longer be given. Instead it will be a cash payment given out quarterly. If you qualify, which in my experience will be very few because it is not only tied to safety but miles also(9,500 per month). And the company decides how many miles you get. So if you like to go home more then twice a month or turn down loads, it will probably not happen. It is .02 per mile increase for all payed miles during the quarter. So if you did 28,500 that would be $570 extra. But since it is tied to CSA 2010 (4th quarter top 70%and miles and safety training it will take some hoop jumping to get. So you would have to ask yourself if it is worth the hassle for $2280 xtra per yr
So DNA, are you ready to go back
P.S. travel light if going to Knight. CSA 2010 points go agianst the company and not just the driver and will get you a pink slip. They are already starting to weed out drivers who screw with the E-logs- with a lead foot and who hit things.Last edited: Oct 15, 2010

Thanks, I needed that.
I just can't wait until all of my savings bonds that I acquired there mature in a decade or so. Those do sound like some promising changes but the overall putrid atmosphere I witnessed radiating from that place is enough to keep me away for awhile. -
Liar, lol! Your spirit is still with these guys, admit it!
Dna Mach Thanks this. -
I will gladly go back to work 4 knight refrigerated when the knight family sells the company to someone else!!!
