I thought it funny - a buddy sent me a link to an article (which wanted a subscription and I couldn't read), so I went searching for myself only to find "Click Bait Mutha Trucka" with an unsubstantiated comment in one of his recent videos -

Pulled up next to a guy at a fuel pump today and got talking - he asked me the same question!

Rumor was that "Landstar had cancelled leases of BCO's that had been there less than year. "

My only guess is that they'd shut off access for "Landstar approved carriers" (which anyone can be) - to load boards.

    Anybody else heard anything ?

Only relative 'news' article I found was a reference to a drop in BCO count, about 2.5% - which sounds about normal.

I would guess is they're just culling the idiots who shouldn't own a truck.

I’m guessing that’s just ‘approved carriers’ given the amount of scams lately.

I’ve seen a fair number of LS loads on ITS. So it’s not approved carriers

The article he was referencing was about a few thousand Outside NEW carriers not being given any loads due to rampant scamming .. they apparently are only using bco’s and long established carriers in this economy which makes sense.

Ah. Yeah I guess that does. What are they doing about their copy and paste agents?

Same thing happened at Amazon. They got rid of all the losers, complainers, scammers, new entrants, the guys who can only make it if they're getting $5/Mile, etc. etc. There's 2 more that will be getting dismissed soon, somewhere in Wyoming...:cya:

I keep getting load postings about hauling boomerangs, doll house parts and lasagna ingredients to Missouri. $12 per mile, but requires the driver to haul off bloody bandages and biohazard containers.

Supposedly a weekly run, depending on gluten free lasagna noodle availability. Decisons, decisions...

Unfortunately nothing - except encouraging them. Sigh.
