There is a overheight route around that bridge that runs from the upgrader straight west and comes back to #16 near the John Deere dealership that adds about 1.5 miles to the trip and adds 15 minutes.

You can see the hinge pins but it would be awkward to load or unload with the cab folded

I've actually had a customer ask if I could unload it with the cab down when the power pack failed to lift it back up when I got to the destination. um...no.

I am surprised that i never see sennebogen loaders in logging. Just the usual prentice hood barko cat etc. Scrap industry cant get enough of them.

the metal recyclers here have one of those units. I had to google it...theirs is grey, but same kind of rig on wheels with a cab that goes up in the air like that.

The scrap loaders here have straight booms like log loaders, but much longer, they would not be able to handle big logs, stretched out.

I'm just curious as I dont know much about Hot shot stuff but wondering why would they have loaded this on the rear versus all the way up on the nose? They aren't looking to access it from the rear obviously with the doors on the container the way they are.... Looks rather heavy on the rear like that? 20200110_084339.jpg

Why destroy your truck when you can just destroy someone else's trailer.

Hmmmm.... I'm guessing the truck&trailer belong to him. How would loading one way over another not/ or not destroy the truck?

    Upinsmoke and cke Thank this.

1, that's an empty container. (you can only use straps on an empty container, i mean not that most hot shots play by the rules, but a loaded container would be wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much for that little trailer)

    2. that's a tilt trailer. (look at the rear bumper and the front by the gooseneck it's not quite down) so they are loading this by pulling it forward with winch. not via forklift. and that's probably all the further they could get it on, cuz it's not built to do that.
