I thought the same thing until I saw a depressed rub mark (maybe 1/32” deep) on a set of x’ed chains on a container I was hauling. This was at the end of a 3600 mile trip.

I thought a strap could touch as long as it's going over the chain, but not under? I swear I read something about that on TTR.

    F'n CHAINCEPTION!

It's why stick people don't have sex!

    Chain, crosses chain.
    Straps, crosses straps.
Chain and straps don't cross and touch.

Ok, good point. I have never had a chain on that long. Maybe 300-400 miles per day, 5 days a week. I have never seen a issue. How is that?

Legal. That big roller weighs less then 6k pounds. Is it the best way to do it? No but it does work well on those rollers. I’ve done similar before. 47740144-A9C7-4CD9-BD00-21B22DBC4127.jpeg 1CCD0D9B-7106-4C86-9980-BBAF8DE4DAD8.jpeg
