Yeah being from out of state it would be a gamble to show up without a lawyer I guess. I was a dummy back when I had mine dismissed. I'd get tickets and end up sitting them out in jail but that one, I walked up and before I got a word out the judge just said she was dismissing it. I imagine I'd get a lawyer too for any out of state ticker.

I bet those straps could be played like guitar strings, too! Nighty entertainment on the back row.

I worked in the Texas Permit Office for almost 2 decades at a fairly high level.

I’ve seen and heard of every story from almost every angle and had regular testing on traffic law.

This is the first time I’m seeing the MPH requirement. I still remember being in meetings on how our permit specialists would answer the “speed limit” question and we trained them to answer with “follow the speed limits posted”.

Learn something new everyday. I can’t imagine what type of DOT officer would enforce that one.

That's one of those times where they find out if you actually read the permit, like you're supposed to, when you sign that you've read and understand it. :)
I used to pull out of a terminal near Dallas, so I got to read a lot of those.

i remember one state you used to have to sign the permit in red ink.
Who carried a red ink pen?
So signed it and put (Red Ink) beside signature because didn’t have a red pen and the fuel stop didn’t sale them either.

Another excavator. Another stepdeck. Another bridge.

As much as I hate the government getting involved maybe they should make it a federal law that heavy machinery has to be hauled on an RGN. It's stupid that such a thing would even be required but the extra work might put off some of these Elk Grove Village trucking companies from it.
