The most positive thread I have seen about CRST. Thank You! I am interested in going to CRST in Cedar Rapids, IA for training. I currently have a Class B CDL so I'm looking forward to being "ahead" and only having to take combinations test to obtain my permit then begin training. Again, Thank You!
I'll tell you one thing, I just watched a CRST driver leave a bathroom stall at the meteor crater rest area in AZ, after taking a stinky dump, and walk right out the door - who needs soap! Well done truck number 3259, you just painted a great hygienic picture of your company and drivers.
Keep looking bud, there's a lot of much better opportunities out there - hate to see yet another wrecked CRST truck this winter time . . . believe me, I've almost been killed by these idiots more than once. I have their safety number on speed dial, not that they care, just so long as they have warm bodies to move freight.
No - you dont pick your loads at CRST unless you are an o/o. I have no idea about a Michigan terminal for CRST. Must not be for the dry van division. Hygiene is an issue with ALL truck drivers. Lol. Their pay isnt the greatest. I know they just raised their new driver pay 3cpm. Not great but better than not having that extra 3cpm. Lol CRST is bad with accidents. Not gonna lie. But what training company doesnt have a ton of accidents? Theres no guaranteed way to weed out bad drivers before they even get their CDL. I know my desire for the open road is strong again now that I'm making 45cpm and 5000 miles on a slow week. Lol. Good money always makes everything a little better. Lol
MissJyss:: Congrats, you will find out if you haven't already that life here at CRST can be good. I'm here 30 years, average tenure is 10 years. People who think they are super truckers will tell you that your wrong, your a recruiter, your an exception, your getting a break cause your a woman. People, life is really great at CRST, it's what you make of it.
BlairandGretchen: I am not a confrontational guy, but I can be a really in your face kind of guy and while not much gets me upset, I can tell you that some of your replies are merit less. Let's see, you've almost been hit by CRST drivers in the winter. Hmmm, I bet you've almost been hit and killed by drivers from any number of companies. All these so called driver accidents that CRST supposedly has, our low scores. Our low scores are the result if drivers not being proactive in checking and reporting maintenance issues until when? Until they come to light at a weigh station or a roadside inspection. You will find very few CRST drivers giving a crap about a low safety score situation that is the result of other drivers bad habits and not doing what needs to be done.
