The use of CB while driving a violation?

    Correct on the OSOW point. Says it on many permits, constant radio contact.

    The goose and gander quote, actually means “Good for the man - good for the woman “ - I used to misuse this one too. :)

    You are allowed to press 1 button. On the CB that's the push-to-talk PTT on the mic.

    Not a point of law (that’s been covered), but a large practical difference between a cell phone and a CB radio is that you’re not holding or listening to a handset. If you need to have both hands free you can let go of the mic instantly (as opposed to trying to put the phone down without dropping it), and the speaker isn’t any different than using a hands-free speakerphone.

    Cops are always blabbing on their radios and cellphones while driving. So very hypocritical for them to say anything about it.

    Yeah, the actual device is mounted somewhere else. I'm sure it doesn't stop some people from coming up with a "company policy" against them.

    Maybe, technically, a walkie talkie would be a handheld electronic device...
