The weirdest reason you've been woken up and your 10 interrupted?

People always bang on my door, wake me up out of a dead sleep and say I'm holding them up and I'm inconsiderate. Idk what their problem is, there's plenty of other fuel islands to park at and go to sleep!

 

Some drugged out hooker knocked on my door at 5 am while I was parked near that shady truck stop in Stockton.

Infuriated, I yelled out a threat and she moved on.

 

Dead tired I pulled over on the shoulder to sleep on 82E (Tx) somewhere around dickens. Didn’t realize I pulled up next to an abandoned creepy af house. Hit the bed, intrusive thoughts start coming on about all the ghost out there, drifted off to sleep and woke up to that texas wind trying to take my soul. Popped my head out and seen that house, put it in gear, in my boxers and I’m off in a frenzied panic, delusion, and exhaustion.

 

That reminds me - girl i know sent me a pic of this creature somebody supposedly caught out around some tx oilfield. it looked like part wolf, part human. obvoiusly not real. still a creepy looking pic.so i stop at this little rest area in deep east tx. big enough for about three trucks. im only one there. pitch dark. wind blowing. moon making weird shadows thru the blowing trees. I step out for nature , then.................... I heard a freaking dog howling somewhere - - I jumped in the truck and hightailed it up to civilazation !

 

dude, east texas creeps me out way more than west. I’m in west texas 80% of my runs, but when I go east I always end up driving at night. I can’t remember what the load was, 2am ish, but I ended up on some super skinny roads with trees curling over the top/edges - came up to this three way stop and looked left at the ONLY building and light in sight and seen this black dog staring dead at me. It was sitting right under the light. This was back when I was running paper logs, so I was in one of those exhausted modes and that feeling plus that dog under the light lit a fire under my tail. East tx ain’t the one guy!

 

I normally lock my doors,but forget occasionally This is one of those times.
I’m dead asleep and hear my door open,and a females voice “Are you in here?”
I stuck my head thru the curtain,and we both had that deer in the headlight stare at each other.
She said “Honey I’m so sorry I’m in the wrong truck.”

 

I saw some truck at a rest area recently that had a big sign/sticker on the side of the sleeper that said 'DO NOT BANG ON THE SIDE OF THIS TRUCK'. I was tempted but I couldn't think of a reason and I wasn't about to stop, but I was thinking what a stupid thing to put on your truck.

You've got to know that every dock he goes to they get a kick out of knocking extra loud on the side when he's loaded or unloaded.

 

Trucking...

The only industry where being woken up for sex at 5am is a bad thing..

I was driving down there when that happened. Got to the receiver and naturally they wouldn't unload as their warehouse was standing but in shambles. Several of us just went to bed out in their parking lot. Those aftershocks would toss a guy out of the bunk. I thought the trailers were going to slap each other. That was violent.
