    My SB-230 top part gas lifters are toast. Thermoking wants arm and leg for new. Is it any aftermarket alternative or stick to support is my fate?

    I use a pair of vice grips no matter if they work or not. Never trust a strut to hold any hood open.
    Thermo-king uses a lot of rebranded parts. Try removing letters and hyphens from part numbers or drop any number behind the hyphen.
    Take one to Napa,AutoZone etc.
