good luck, hope you heal quickly.

Yes, I did that. It wasn't easy, but I did it.
His boot limits certain movements, but it does not mean that he can't control the pedal.
Sure, he can't use ankle movements. But he can still go up and down with his legs.
There is no luck.
There is just do... or not do.
It is something I think Yoda once said. -
I should have gone to the doctor each time, but I was young and careless so never bothered. Instead I just ignored the pain and continued about my life.
Of course, now I have Ganglion Cysts under my arches and occasional arch pain. Severe or repeated trauma to a joint causes the jelly-like joint fluid to leak out, common in hands and wrists, but can happen any at any joint. Painless unless pressing on a nerve. They can be drained or surgically removed, but there is a very high possibility of them just returning again. -

I was able to drive every day since my injury after seeing the doc (had to take the boot off to drive)
Seriously though their are 26 bones in the foot, so it depends on what you break and how bad you break it. I was lucky that I was able to put full weight on it from the start. Some people are in crutches for weeks or months.
Less than a month later I am out of the boot and already walking ok without an ankle brace. -
it must all depend on the job you have what you can do to
working food service delivery is as bad as boot camp
where my job i just drive bump 2 docks a week -

It still comes down to common sense, which you had none. you had to come here and ask US if it was OK for you to drive, (like we are all doctors as well as lawyers), rather than you to go to a doctor, for a professional's advice. Then you could have come here, tell us your story and what the doctor said.. -
The fact that I was working three days later and all last month says enough.
You can refer back to the very first post where I simply asked if anyone knew if it was legal to drive with a walking boot or walking cast, or had encountered this before. And clearly stated I was seeing a doctor later that day
With your **cough** "decades" of experience you chose to jump down my throat and be sarcastic rather than be professional and give advice if you had any. And if you read the entire thread you can see that a few others had similar experiences before, and were curious of the outcome.
That fact of the matter is, neither one of us has much medical knowledge, but you chose to grandstand while having no idea what you are talking about.
I hope you enjoy your retirement. We don't need your kind out here.Last edited: May 12, 2015
