wow, pay is that low....i havent drove for a company in years but the last time i did summit logistics paid me .62 a mile and $20 a stop before they sold the company to land air.. and i was home everyday..after they were brought out i was unemployed and decided to buy my own truck and trailer...It was good money ontil december 2011... now i feel everything has gotten worse, i run a reefer with my authority and i cant seem to find good paying loads out on the East....its got to the point that im pulling a local companies containers off and on just to pay the bills...i hate it but what else is there when i got to feed my kids... hopefully i can find something that i can hook my trailer again and hit the big road...

I drive for Central Ref and we haul a lot of swift loads. We are owned by the same family (the daughter) that owns swift (the Dad) and we use each others terminals, shops, and other resources. Central starts off at 28cpm and moves you up .5cpm every 3mo for the first year, every 6mo the 2nd year and anually after that. I think they top off at 48cpm. I was silly and bought a truck and am leased on with them and am a trainer (scary I have been driving less than a year) but I pull in $2000-3000/week after all expenses (before tax) and that is perty good for me.
Everett Thanks this. -

Don't let these guys scare you. Swift is no better or worse than alot of the training companies out there. Yes they do still haul reefer loads (I did it for them, I now let the jokes commence). Currently in the process of getting my own authority and looking for a reefer unit to buy. That way I can haul frozen and dry loads
