    I saw the truck behind me speed up and get right on my tail. The reason he did that was to close the door on the aggressive driver who was on his tail who had just passed a passel of trucks. What we couldn't anticipate was this passer would jump out over double yellow lines and put his life 'all in' just to get ahead of the pack.

    I couldn't touch my brakes, what if this guy comes to his senses and touches his brakes and he has no where to tuck in and his only choice is to speed up to his impending death.

    By maintaining my speed and lane he has at least two choices, slow down and call no joy or speed up hell bent for leather and go all in. What I did was salvage a bad situation and nobody got killed even though this guy didn't care. I'd do it again my way and I do it every day out here with an advanced safety mentality.

    Yurp, 287 is a ###### when your in a 62mph truck. Don't run that stretch anymore but would let the cattle haulers pass due to them always having a cb and we would communicate on passing. Give it a decade or two when they hopefully have it 4 lane divided all the way through. That would be sweeeeeeeet.

    Technically your lane ended and you pushed him over the line because you didn't want to ease up the throttle to get back into the travel lane
