I already explained above why I didn't slow down. This guy was already way over the illegal double yellow lines. What happens if he panics and slows down at the same time I slow down, we have a catastrophic wreck. I maintain my speed and lane, he already has to know he is dead wrong here and the smart move would be for him to slow down and tuck back into line where he jumped out of. No sir, I did the right thing here, this guy broke the law.

Look at it from the perspective of the oncoming truck's view. Do you think he's cussing me or cussing the truck bearing down head on into him at 75 miles per hour?

Yield has to do with rights of way. In this case I am going the speed limit in the only remaining lane after a passing zone, I am protected by double yellow lines in the same way I am protected going through a green light, opposing traffic has a red and therefore I am protected in the same way.

So using the Right of Way argument as in this guy was speeding in excess of the speed limit and on the illegal wrong side of the double yellows and therefore somehow my requirement, my legal responsibility to yield to the guy is wrongheaded. It is in fact his legal responisibility to slow down to the speed limit and abide by the law which states he shall not cross over double yellow lines to pass traffic.

Why should you slow down from the speed limit? Maybe because a moron is creating a dangerous situation and you should do more than hold the steering wheel FFS. You are expected to be SAFE and PROFESSIONAL.

How could I be at fault when I got him dead to rights on video on the wrong side of the double yellow lines? It would be like if I had video of me entering the intersection on a green light and got tboned by a guy running a red light, to you that would be my fault.

Failure to yield, failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision, etc

If I'm going the speed limit, and he's behind me and the lanes are ending why oh why does this guy feel the need to get in front? A professional courteous truck driver doesn't do that. Certainly not while crossing over double yellow lines which represent an invisible concrete barrier rail. That guy is an immenent hazard on the highways and needs to have his CDL downgraded to BYC (bicycle).

OK you said it now back it up with vehicle code and regulation in black and white for all of us uninformed-- when being passed by a vehicle exceeding the speed limit and illegally crossed over the double yellow lines, the speed limited passee will yield and slow down from said speed limit to avoid a collision with princessy speeder.

your failure or compliance with vehicle code has not a single thing to do with what the other driver does. I'll have the code sections in a moment.

If you happen to go watch the full video you will see at 2:45 I owned full possession of the single lane that was remaining past the passing zone. This guy was running up at an excessive speed and crossed over the double yellow lines on his own accord and his own volition. I did not push or force him to do those two illegal things.
