The family dollars in my area are really bad. low morale and backing across a busy divided to get into two of them. People flowing in and out around you daring you to hit them anyway they can use the money.

Towards little rock things worsen in those stores. One was killed in a similar type store last year near Sherwood in broad daylight.

Im glad you got it done, but get yourself off that account and buy a bottle or two of bactine and start working on your wounds. Patch yourself. And don't forget to spray down your shower stall with 10% after you do take one, to prevent the next one from gaining anything blood borne or otherwise infectious off you.

These stores I don't buy anything at. If you ever come in and eyeball that back room it looks like a moving fun house shaking boxes all over the place no organization at all. Toss everything into the corner farthest from the dock asap. Ugh.

I hate to be difficult. Ive done those kinds of deliveries a time or two, similar. I know enough that I am not a good fit for it. MBM Seafood comes to mind.

Another $40k a year 'get er done' job LOL!!! Either this or go fight in a useless 'action' that benefits NEITHER the security or stability of America.

Wow this thread brings back a lot of memories. I still lock up in paralyzing fear every time I see a dollar truck.

I am still on the same account with jb hunt as back then when I got thrown onto Family Dollar, but I now have a permanent route I love going from Dallas to all the big towns in Wyoming throwing tires. Will never be going to a dollar store again.

I think the Dollar General loads are about the same thing from the drivers I have talked too. I ask myself why is a driver required to fingerprint other people's freight when in reality all we should be doing as drivers is delivering a load of goods and let the receiver deal with how to get it off the trailer. Its obvious it saves the customer a boat load of money not having to hire lumper's or part time employee's. But when drivers get hurt unloading their company fights tooth and nail with workman's comp. Plus you don't earn nearly the money you were driving. This is a job drivers should just avoid at all costs, unless you accept the consequences of possibly being injured.
