i have a RM TND 720 that's around 3 years old, but I'm sick of the constant "Legal Route Cannot Be Found" glitch that comes with the standard "it's being fixed in the next update" answer.

Thinking about getting a Garmin, but hate learning new functionality. Plus, I worry if they're any better.

What's (if there is one) the consensus with you guys?

Well if you noticed their is a support thread in this same section... since you are getting that error it tells me you have corrupted maps and the SD Card you have in it is probably not the correct one..

What SD Card you have in it? Look at the Class of the card... does it have a "C" or "U" and how big a card is it?

I'll have to look for the C or U when I get back in the truck. I don't recall the exact size. I know it's larger than was required.

8gb or 16gb are the sizes you need.. you buy anything bigger that 16gb and the file format is different in the way it writes data to the SD Card since they are a "Ultra" type of card. The 720 hardware cannot read the data correctly and hence the files are corrupted and cannot be read for routing and you will then get the "no legal route found".

If you need and have a computer along with the 720 I can remote into your computer to view the 720..

    I use teamviewer for remoting...

    The card is a SanDisk Ultra PLUS 16gb. Can't see a C or U.

Looks like it says HC I on it.

When you get the correct SD Card I will have to tell you what to do and sent you a file to "fake" the dock to download the maps again. You cannot use the maps currently on the SD Card you have.
