I'm a new driver and I recently got pulled into the scale house for being slightly over on a axle. Fixed the weight issue and then they did a full inspection and wile he was under the trailer checking the breaks he noticed the inside of my back inner driver side trailer tire had a flat spot on it where there was no groove and he gave me a warning for it and I thought cool no big deal just get it fixed.
Now my company's calling me saying that even though it's just a warning I'm getting 8 points for it on Csa and that seance it's in the first year it's x3 (24 points total). Is this right? Is there anything I can do about it? Is that enough points to disqualify me in the eyes of a future employer?

Yes that is correct, and there is NOTHING you can do about it. Won't stop other companies from hiring you.

And only the company officially get points awarded. FMCSA does not have the authority at this time to point and rank drivers like they do carriers.

    Normal government confusion.

Was barely over and a stupid mistake not to weight I agree. So these points won't affect my employment opportunities with other companies?

Did a full Pretrip and the only reason the officer saw it was because he was laying under the trailer checking the breaks.

    8 easy points times 3.
I know because one of my drive tires blew right on the point of entry scale. If it had happened just 100 yards prior or after, I could have pulled over and gotten it fixed and no points.

So this just adds to the other 1 I got for not having the words "Operated By" next to my name on the doors and form and manner on my old paper logs, plus my 2 tickets.

Full Pre-trip = should have seen the tire. Use a flashlight or wear a glove and run your hand over the tread..
