I’m sure the driver would appreciate it, you calling, he might get blamed and fired for hitting something and “lying” that he didn’t

If that were my rig, I'd appreciate somebody stepping up and going to bat for me.

I see a cut in the bumper, of a brand new truck, some guy in their shop will blame the driver and fire him for hitting nothing.
If it was my truck, I’d want to know who hit mine

When people wonder what happened to professionalism, look no further than this thread... death by a thousand scrapes.

If the shoe was on the other foot and you were away from your truck and that happened what you want the witness to do?
That's a new truck not an old beater that's got scrapes all around.

I was in the last major town in BC before hitting Alberta earlier this week. Walked out of the Timmies there and watched 2 of the usual suspects trying to blindside back thru a stop sign, into a busy intersection. A guy from a local contracting company pulled up next to them in a water truck and gave them the gears about it and their lack of professionalism. There's 2 guys in the cab, why was the the guy in the b###h seat not out spotting/stopping traffic?

More people need to start calling out people for their stupidity.

i think the question remains is, "how many hoods, bumpers, fenders, tires, trailers were destroyed, and no one "saw anything"?

how many times do we see posted either here or on other websites, the carnage or a truck stop hit and run, and the owner (or driver) pleading for help in any witnesses?

not all security cameras are functional nor aimed at all areas.

the "damage" on the bumper in this thread is so freaking minor. i'll bet a few notable members here would say, "let it go" as i did.

those marks can be compounded out, maybe ever so lightly sanded, and glossed over with Armor-All.

i ain't seen too many plastic bumpers (non painted like the one in the thread) that didn't have some sort of scratch in it.

had that bumper been ripped off, then i'd say, yeah, let the driver know.

    but you also know what..??

what's to say the driver seeing that happen, (the o/p) doesn't get the Spanish Inquisition from HIS/HER trucking company, for causing that damage, and trying to pass it off on someone else?

remember in this industry, we are GUILTY until proven innocent.

    let it go.

    christ, minor scrapes
