Are you sure it's the Class A you don't want to do?
Or is it the long haul?
There is local/regional work for Class A. ????
On the weight. Try drinking a little over a half gallon of good filtered water a day. Add sea salt to it for it's minerals. I had no idea my body was holding onto weight (fat and water) because I was actually dehydrated. I had no idea. I started with that (and a little more) and 35 pounds just fell off me in three weeks.
EDIT: You might be interested in a thread I started on Health...the right way . It's down farther in the forum in a smaller section labeled: Health.

Regarding the school. I payed them money and took the state cdl road test.
I can get in / out of the truck with no issues. I just can't lift 40 lb and walk around with it. -
I want to move out of NYC. I want to move upstate somewhere and then do class A. I don't want to drive that in Manhattan with cyclists and all types of hazards that don't care for jaywalking. I thought I would start with a class B truck like a roll off thing. That guy I was watching just attached a hook and dragged that thing onto the truck. After getting money I would move out.
You mean like salt water? I assume that's what you are kinda making. -
Basically.... You can use Himalayan Salt, or Sea Salt, or what they call Celtic Salt. They are all loaded with minerals. Put one teaspoon per quart. It will surprise you how much it does for you. I also add magnesium and other minerals. Also iodine.
Here's a link to my thread on health. I think you'd like it. On Health... the right way....
On the truck. A Class B truck doesn't do well on ice. Reason is the front steering wheels. There isn't enough of the weight of the truck on the front. I imagine it could be hell in NYC. Right now I'm thinking I'd rather drive a nice short trailer and day cab in the city. More maneuverable. We had a roll off tractor trailer like this. It was much more maneuverable than our other roll offs. -

Thank you for the information. If I chose to do the roll off / dump truck. Do I need an endorsement for it? Also say I work for a company that does both class A and B. Do I get a choice of what I want to drive or will the company just go to me one day and say screw what you want. Your driving the semi from now on?

Can I say I don't feel comfortable to drive semi in Manhattan and run over a cyclist? Or should I just look for something outside if the city for work?
-
If you apply for a certain job. They hire you. Then try to switch the job. I'd just walk out. You accepted what you applied for. The End.
Please do drive what you're comfortable with. -
Got some bad news for you... a job that requires nothing more than sitting on your ### all day and doing nothing will only make you fatter. Promise you that you won't be able to even see your #### feet within 1 year if you start driving and don't get a labor intensive job.
As for a bum leg, don't really wanna hear it. Watched a one legged man scale a 14' load of lumber in Oregon and tarp that ####. One leg and couldn't have been but 4'11". I #### you not. No idea what people's excuses are.
I've watched scrawny women tarp loads -20.Badmon Thanks this.
